The cultivar Frantoio is the most widespread olive variety in Tuscany and it contributes largely to the main Tuscan olive oil DOP and IGP blends such as “DOP Chianti Classico”, “IGP Toscano”, DOP Terre di Siena” etc.
This great olive oil displays elegant green fruity notes of fresh mown grass, artichoke, green almond and rosemary. Best used raw for dipping fresh vegetables and for finishing dishes and for seasoning preparations like pizza, bruschetta, meat and fish Carpaccios, vegetables soups, soups of legumes etc.
